Cultural Sponsoring from Hornschuch

MARKUSBENESCHCREATES

Posted on November 20, 2012

In September, the topics of fashion and design are the focus of the MaximiliansForum. In order to create the appropriate framework for a multitude of individual events, which will be held in the MaximiliansForum between September 14 and October 11, Markus Benesch Creates designed the room installation Curious to the Max, which turns the entire underpass into an experience space.  The room installation itself will be opened as part of the Open Art, the Munich art weekend. From September 14-16, Benesch will orchestrate the fantastic world of illusion, interpreted as free juggling of reality and appearanceWith Curious to the Max, cultural sponsoring at Hornschuch has reached a new level. The world market leader for films and artifi-cial leather worked on several projects, provided supplies for film (“Eine Insel namens Udo”), television (e.g. “Tatort”) and theater productions (Staatstheater Stuttgart). But this sponsorship goes beyond that: 4,000 meters of d-c-fix® and 30 meters of skai® were used just for the project Curious to the MAX.
From visitors to customers
The visitors to the installation experience the degree to which rooms can be decorated with d-c-fix®. They are directly confronted by the product and understand the possibilities that it offers – in-cluding for their own four walls. With the high-publicity event, Hornschuch hopes to create positive image effects and gain new target groups for its successful brands. During the Oktoberfest, the annual festival in Munich, up to 9 million people are in the Bavarian metropolis – this provides a large platform for d-c-fix® and skai®.

Hornschuch – a Brief Profile
In the Home Decoration business segment, Hornschuch produces and markets under the d-c-fix® brand design and functional films for the end user. Under the skai® industrial brand, the company sells films and coated carrier materials for the furniture, automotive, textile and construction industry. The Interior business segment produces high-quality furniture films for kitchens and bathrooms, as well as high-tech upholstery materials; Transportation manufactures special synthetics for vehicle interiors and Exterior innovative window, door and facade profile films. The HornschuchGroup, headquartered in Weissbach near Heil-bronn, is the world leader in surface design. In addition to the five European sales companies, the group has two production plants: O’Sullivan Films, Inc., in the USA, and the firm kek-Kaschierungen GmbH in Herbolzheim. With five distribution companies, the group operates in the major European centers which are important for the industry in terms of trendsetting and decision-making: Paris, Milan, Prague, London and Moscow. There are also representative offices in over 80 countries.

Curious to the Max – MaximiliansForum Munich October 2012

MARKUSBENESCHCREATES

Posted on November 14, 2012

MARKUS BENESCH CREATES  “Curious To The Max” – a forum where artists, designer and musicians come together.
The installation combines and interweaves with the illusion of the real world.
Super-thin sculptures, which appear -depending on the viewing angle- in three dimensions
or just flat. The sculptures animate the visitor to try them out and he becomes part of the installation.
The visitor becomes part of the interaction he is in. This real / surreal world filmed and projected in real time.
Graphics and objects appear in a visual interaction with the existing space and the visitors.
The sculptures are just an illusion they just seem to interact with the real environment, depending on the viewing angle
the sculptures seem to enter into the building and the maxforum- the dive in and come to the surface again.
and through the optical illusion they build new rooms.
Graphics and objects appear in a visual interaction with the existing space and the visitors.
